SuperWOMEN: Sacrifice, Vulnerability, (a little Crazy), and PROUD

Mother's Day has come and gone, but who cares.  After this weekend, whether or not it was Mother's Day, I think it's important for me to write this....I was raised by my mom, like so many young people these days. Growing up I always thought of her as such a superwoman.  So unable to mess up, so fearless, so in-tune with what was necessary to raise me and my sister.

I still feel that way, but as I grow older, I am also growing wiser.  (Cliche' I know)  My mother is a superwoman, but fearless - I think NOT - my mom had to clean up a lot of $hit and put out several fires.  And she must have been so alone and scared out of her mind at times...I really don't understand how she did it...I learned that motherhood to my mother meant living and sacrificing for her children.

Obviously, there are some good and bad in this...the good being- I had a strong foundation growing up, the bad being - she never got to learn who she is because of constant self-sacrifices...NOW, she may disagree (a lot or alittle) but I now see my mother doing coming in to her own!  And that is beautiful.

To my mother - thank you for your sacrifice and vulnerability.  For allowing me to see you grow NOW - which is right on time!!

If being too loving is real, you are super REAL.

Now, my mother is not the only special mother in my life.  My sister, my incredible sister has been a mother for half of her young life.  My sister is the smartest person I know, and a mother who is trying to be 100% for each of her kids.  Sister - your time is coming...through these experiences life is building and creating a way...  You can be everything they need...and you WILL have the opprotunity to be everything you need for YOU.  It's all in you already...timing is everything.  Make the choices you need - and let it be.  Have faith, if in nothing else, yourSELF and your ability.  You got this.

I see such a beautiful silver lining peaking through.  Sister, speak your truth and live your truth - your life is beautiful.

To my sister -thank you for being you.  Thank you for my gorgeous nephews - you have brought so much sunshine into my life and into the lives of so many.

Now - from these women I've learned how to sacrifice, how to be strong yet vulnerable, how to be a little crazy :), and proud (to name a few).  I am so honored to have these woman paving such an incredible foundation for me, helping to make my road a little less bumpy.  I love you gals.  Happy Mother's Day... everyday.
