So I've been chain chewing gum for a few months now. I mean, I enjoy the flavor but I think there is something more behind this super gum addiction. I can chew like 10 pieces in 10 minutes. UMMM who's a weirdo?! ME! LOL
Okay, well I bought two new Miss Jessie's products and wanted to share my opinion...
Pillow Soft Curls Styler ($22 - one size)
1. I thought the smell was light enough and pleasant.
2. It's light, but you don't need to use a lot to create a softness.
3. It helps with the frizz - but I would recommend using a serum or oil prior to using the Pillows Soft Curls Styler.
To apply, wash and condition hair. When it is still wet, take sections and apply the styler from root to tip. Maybe just apply a dime size of the styler to each section. Depending on the length and thickness of your hair - if you know me...I divided my hair into like 12-16 sections and used dime size blobs. Using a diffuser really gave me a lot more volume and kept the curl. Make sure to use the diffuser down at the root to get it extremely dry. THis helps keep the hair big. I really think this product help keep it super soft and allowed for a lot of movement. I would recommend it fo'SHO!
Stretch Silkening Cream ($38-16 oz)
I thought the smell was okay, it's not floral or "producty" (if you know what I mean) it's just mild.
2. It's thick, but it doesn't weigh the hair down. You don't need to use a lot to create a softness.
3. It helps with the frizz - and I love using it when my hair is dry too. I just apply and fluff out. I may dampen my hair with a spray bottle, but it's only very slightly damp - much more dry than damp.
I'm pretty sure this is my FAVORITE product EVER. I applied it and it really elongated my hair, kept the curl and biggness, and also allowed for movement. I thought the product might weigh my hair down but it didn't! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. Using the diffuser really helped it pop off - letting it air dry might have left it less big. So depending on the look you are going for...you may want to think about how you let it dry.
I bought these two products during the 50% off sale and am SO happy, otherwise I've listed the price next to the product name. I'd highly recommend trying both products. It may take more than one try to figure out how it best works for your "do" but I highly suggest you try! DO IT. :) This is the only picture I took after using the product. It doesn't highlight my hair like I'd hoped (kind of blurry) but it was big defined and moveable. :) Yeah product!
