Oh, how I"ve missed theeeee! Sheesh, I love to blog. I feel so relaxed after I get to write something that has been on my mind. It's like a friend that is able to listen, and only listen. I love my friends SO much and appreciate their advice, but sometimes just an ear with no advice is great just the same. :)
This week, several people close to me have experienced trauma in their lives...all incidents that were shocking and surprising. Car wrecks, congestive heart-failure and so much more. It really put things in perspective. I stress out about a lot about little things that are irrelevant in living a healthy and spiritual life...things that are NONfactors!! I wish I didn't, but it's hard not too. When I reflect on my own life and incidents in friends and family lives I start to wonder why I stress about the things I do. It can always be so much worse.
I've noticed that stress lives in my physical being. Stress will jack up my skin, give me headaches, and during my first year of teaching I got an ulcer! Obviously, it was a cray cray year of teaching. Several of my students experienced severe abuse etc...anyway, point being stress is NO good.
What IS good, is making sure you take care of yourself. I love my natural hair, and one of the reasons why is because I am able to work-out and not care about my mane! I'm not worried about the half curly new-growth and the stringy ends...and all the whatever inbetween... I'm able to style it, and wear it to the gym and out of the gym with a smile on my face. Working out is such an incredible stress relief. To me, it's like eating a huge bagel with tons of cream cheese.! Aweee so delish!
ANYwho -
All people should try to decrease their stress - I suggest working out, reading, walking, speaking affirmations into yourlife. Saying thank you to everyone and everything...even when you are alone. Be present in your friends and families life even if you are miles away. And try blogging!
I know I'm random and all over the place (again - welcome to this mind of mine), but just remember your blessings and be grateful, allow yourself time and space for peace so to decrease stress, and be mindful of your own health. You never know what can happen. Listen to your body...treat it special, and of course go natural! heheheh
